Reasons You’re Not Losing Weight That Have Nothing To Do With Calories In Calories Out

There are many factors that contribute to weight gain and weight loss resistance that have nothing to do with calories in calories out.

If you’re frustrated with weight gain or stubborn weight loss and have been following the “eat-less-exercise-more” guidelines for weight loss without getting the results you want, you’re not alone. The calories in calories out model is outdated, and many other factors play into weight loss that are essential to address to reach your weight loss and fat loss goals:

  • Suboptimal thyroid function

  • Gut dysbiosis

  • Estrogen dominance

  • Insulin resistance

  • Too much cardio

  • Lack of strength training/muscle

  • Stress

  • Chronic dieting/undereating

  • Inflammation

If any of these factors are not addressed, just eating less and workout out more will not get you the lasting results you want. You may even initially get results, but then will inevitably gain the weight back (sound familiar?).

While I’m much more focused on helping women FEEL amazing in their bodies rather than lose weight in my practice, I do help women lose weight as a SIDE effect of addressing the root cause of their weight gain/weight loss resistance.

Getting to the root cause is a must - and TRUST me, it’s not just that you’re eating too many calories and not running enough.

Weight is SO much more complex than just calories in/calories out. Yes, calories do matter, but not if your thyroid isn’t functioning well, you have gut dysbiosis, you’re estrogen dominant and insulin resistant, you’re doing too much cardio and not strength training, you’re super stressed and inflamed, and you’ve been a chronic dieter your whole life…

If you’d like personalized support in your holistic weight loss journey and want to get to the root cause of why you’ve gained the weight and can’t lose it, you can schedule a free call with me here.
